What the womb sounds like
It's not quiet in there. The womb is full of low whooshing from blood flow, a heartbeat, and muffled sound from outside. Everything above the low frequencies is filtered out by the body.
This sound recreates that: a low, rushing bed of noise that rises after each heartbeat and settles between them. It's darker than white noise and more alive than brown noise.
Using womb sounds in the first months
Newborns often settle to womb sounds, a shush or a heartbeat. Many parents switch to plain white or brown noise later. In Sleepy Noise you can set whichever one works as My Sound and change it with a long-press on the big button.
Keep it quiet and the phone across the room. Our baby white noise guide covers volume and placement.
